Rosa Pushér Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

One of the many personal favorites of mine, is a collection

that is filled with detail, sophistication, and splendor. The designer 

Tammy Pushér, was inspired by a fusion of the late and

great actress Veronica Lake and human rights activist

and model Bianca Jagger.  Rosa Pushér has also been

featured on the likes of stars such as the ever charming and 

stunning New York City socialite Tinsley Mortimer and super

model Heidi Albertsen, and creating quite an exquisite stir

in the fashion industry as well!  

Be prepared to delight in the colors of this particular 

collection such as ruby reds, onyx leather, crisp ivory, 

and regal brocades. Rosa Pushér is a collection that is

 bound to add glamour and sophistication

for this upcoming season, and I anticipate seeing

more!

Brandon Sun Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

It is the look of art and luxury in pure refinement

as each design is showcased and featured 

immaculately.  Brandon Sun is a brand new

designer who just featured his first collection

during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.  

Having quite an experience working for J. Mendel and

Oscar De La Renta and graduated from the

Parsons School of Design as designer of the

year, you can see the influence and exquisite

taste in each fabric and detailing.  In this particular 

collection the inspiration is from various favorite

Kung Fu movies and created the theme Silent 

Assassin.  From fabrics such as plush furs, 

sleek leathers, chiffons, satins, and silks.

The staple hues for this collection contains

slate greys, winter whites, espresso browns,

and black.

Rebecca Taylor Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

Rebecca Taylor's collection contained a relaxed, refined, feminine,

and sensuous ambiance.  It was so exhilarating viewing each design

on the runway, and the presentation was absolutely impeccable!

What inspired Rebecca Taylor to create such a wonderful

collection?  The modern girl, represented through the models

she observed off duty or on a go see.  A quote from the designer

herself about the designs,

"We wanted our girls to look like how the models comes into a showroom or a 

walking or a go see. She just looks very modern and very cool.".

 The impression can clearly be seen through these

particular popular high fashion models:

Frida Gustavsson

The colors for the upcoming season were very dark but hints

of jeweled tones peek through with wonderful detailing and

accessorizing.  The staple hues of the collection were mixes

of charcoal blacks and slate greys, dark navy blue, browns, dark teal,

and ivory.  The fabrics mostly entailed chiffon, velvet, a tad of leather,

and wool.

General Idea Menswear Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

Bumsuk Choi designed a collection that is both practical,

savvy, and sophisticated for the upcoming season.  This

particular collection was inspired by the 1968 Winter

Olympics Hockey Team, which you can see the

influence through each detailing.

The colors and textures of this collection also reflected the 

inspiration as well through red oranges, fur, puffy coats,

slouchy pants, and a tad of leather and velvet.

Concept Korea Fall and Winter 2012 Collection

This alluring, sophisticated, and graceful collection from a

collaboration of designers left myself personally breathless.

Each design that graced the runway always captured the

eyes, and were immaculately flawless for the upcoming 

Fall season.  

Before we get into full detail, lets have a little background

of who Concept Korea is and the inspiration behind such

a design.

Concept Korea is a collaboration of various Korean 

designers such as:

1. Son Jung Wan
2. Choiboko
3. Lie Sang Bong
4. Cres. E Dim
5. Kye

each designer adding their own personal decorum for the
premiere of their collection. The inspiration behind each
collection were under the theme "Ink Wash Painting".
You can definitely see the influence of the theme in
these examples...

than the wonderful event of The Greenshow Collections.
Eight designers featured there best work in their own
collections at The Box in Lincoln Center such as:
